The chief minister of Punjab has approved Air Punjab, Pakistan’s first provincial airline

Air Punjab, Pakistan’s first provincial airline, has been formally approved by the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz. The initiative intends to increase domestic transport alternatives and regional connections.

In a meeting with Nausher Khan Laghari, a member of the provincial parliament, the chief minister again reiterated her pledge to give patients free medications. She emphasized that the government’s proactive actions are opening new avenues for farmers’ advancement and prosperity.

She also revealed plans to build a bullet train that would connect Lahore and Rawalpindi, saying it would take only two hours and twenty minutes to complete the trip. There are plans for more routes around the province.

She said, “The chief minister has also asked for a plan for a high-speed train for six additional routes in Punjab, including Lahore to Sheikhupura to Shorkot, Shorkot to Sargodha via Jhang, Lala Musa to Sargodha via Malakwal, Lahore to Raiwind and Kasur, and Pakpattan to Lodhran.”

“The railway department in Punjab would undergo a complete overhaul.”

The Punjab government will immediately lease four planes to launch the airline. Maryam Nawaz instructed authorities to ensure that Air Punjab is managed effectively and provides excellent service to become the top airline in the nation.

This action represents a significant advancement in Pakistan’s aviation industry and demonstrates Punjab’s expanding role in launching autonomous, people-centered initiatives for the advancement of the province.
