Pakistan Air Force downs five Indian jets after India attacks Pakistan

In retaliation for earlier airstrikes by India, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) shot down at least five Indian fighter planes today, further increasing tensions between the nuclear-armed neighbors.

Initial reports state that the Pakistan Air Force has shot down two enemy planes. Every aircraft in the Pakistani Air Force is secure. The Pakistani military is responding appropriately to the adversary’s assault, according to PTV. A third aircraft was later shot down 15 NM northeast of Avantipura, according to security sources. Later, two more planes were downed, bringing the total to five, according to security sources. Security sources say these comprise one MIG, one SU-30, and three Rafales.

The Pakistan Army used artillery fire to strike the retreating Indian forces. According to reports, the firing by the Pakistan Army caused significant deaths among the Indian soldiers. Additionally, Indian forces escaped from 50 military stations in the Budori sector and left the Joli Post near the Line of Control (LoC).

According to the DG ISPR, India carried out 24 assaults on six separate places, killing 8 Pakistani citizens and injuring 35 others.

According to him, four attacks were carried out on the Subhan Mosque in Ahmedpur East, resulting in the martyrdom of four persons and the injuries of thirty-one others, including a girl. A small girl was injured when the Bilal Mosque in Muzaffarabad was targeted, and the Mosque was destroyed. In Kotli, Abbas Mosque was attacked, leading to the martyrdom of a 16-year-old girl and a child. An attack on a mosque in Muridke left one person dead, one injured, and two reported missing. Two shells fell in a hamlet in Sialkot, but no one was injured. Shakargarh was targeted in two attacks, with minor damage reported to a local dispensary.

According to DG ISPR, Indian aircraft were not permitted to fly over Pakistani territory. The Pakistan Air Force is still on high alert and ready to react forcefully to any further assault. “Pakistan will decide when and how to respond fully,” he continued.
