Punjab; 10th monsoon spell advisory predicts severe rainfall and river floods

It has predicted heavy rainfall in most regions of the province from September 6 to 9, with the danger of flash floods in some locations.

Rawalpindi, Murree, Gilgit, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujranwala, Lahore, and Sialkot are predicted to get rain during this period.

Aside from that, rain is expected in Narowal, Hafizabad, Okara, Sahiwal, Kasur, Sargodha, Mianwali, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, and Rajanpur.

According to a PDMA spokeswoman, there is also a risk of flash flooding in Dera Ghazi Khan Rudkohis from September 7 to 9.

The DG PDMA said that gatherings near waterways and recreation should be avoided during the rainfall. Stay in secure areas during storms, minimize needless travel, and contact the PDMA Helpline 1129 in case of an emergency.
